Brooklyn has never been bred and we have no breeding plans for her at this time.

Meet our beautiful home bred girl out of Dan and Brook.  I bred the litter planning to keep a female and hoping for a Brook colored Dancake, as I refer to Dan babies.  Brook had two large male pups almost simultaneously as if the big red male kicked the black male out.  Then she appeared to be finished.  I was a little bit disappointed that there were no females because I already had three large male Akitas in addition to three male Shibas and too many in tact male dogs on the properties is dangerous when they live free roaming as my dogs do so I knew I didn't want to keep another male just quite yet.  Then a few hours later, out pops Brooklyn, the last in the litter of three puppies!  HURRAY!  I knew immediately that I would keep her - she was exactly what I wanted, as if Brook had taken my order for a Brook colored Dancake, for that is exactly what Brooklyn is.  I kept calling the litter Brooklings and Dancakes which quickly lead to the name Brooklyn as it sounds like Brookling.  I decided to make her registered name "No Sleep Til" based off of the Beastie Boys song No Sleep Til Brooklyn as I wanted something to go with Brooklyn that was not all about New York as that has been used in Akita names over and over again.  Brooklyn is exactly what I wanted, built like her dad with her dad's head and her mom's flashy coloring.

Brooklyn is a beautiful, happy, bouncing and hugging girl!  She has tons of personality and is very intelligent.  She not only gets along well in a group due to her great socialization but she thrives in it.  She is very agile and playful and loves to romp and play with her fur-family members.  She, like her parents, loves any toys.  She is fast and can take off with a toy around the yard and get many of the other dogs to give chase but they won't catch her unless she wants them to except for her half sister Keeper who is built like she is and very agile as well.  Brooklyn is also very attached to me.  She singles me out when we play in a group and stays fairly attached to me.  If she thinks I am ignoring her she will hold my wrist in her mouth while licking underneath my wrist.  She listens well although sometimes she does try to push the envelope a bit and see what she can get away with.  Overall Brooklyn is a gorgeous happy girl who is a pleasure to be around and obviously enjoys life.
