As pictured above, Kota joined Z and the Roberts family of New River, Arizona at the age of 7.  We wish them all the best!

Kota, also known around home as Kota Lou Lou, Koti, Lou Lou or just about anything else said with a smile, is a loving girl who is always happy.  Initially she had to come out of her shell to show people what a lover she is but the longer she is here the less that remains so.  She is a talker and usually greets me with a warm and welcoming roo-rah-roo when I enter the room.  She loves to go for walks but gets nervous sometimes and pulls on lead, I assume from her show experience (see below).  She will just about do back flips for treats, especially duck jerky and is a stuffed animal FREAK.  She loves anything with a squeaker and only occasionally de-stuffs them.  She loves to gather a collection of stuffed toys and take them under my bed.

Kota is a very pretty girly girl although she doesn't act like one, she is more of a tom boy.  She has a great coat (especially for a black and tan), nice balanced body and beautiful eyes.  Her glowing smile tops off her appearance as she struts her stuff.  Kota accepts not female dogs regardless of age or size but does okay with Oki but he is very submissive to her.  She would prefer to be alone with people.

We were told by Kota's previous owner/handler that she was traumatized by a child at a show and has not been mentally able to show since.  We are working now to desensitize Kota to children and public places in hopes that her championship can be attained.  Otherwise, she will be the proud producer of future Champions we hope and hold down the dog beds in the mean time, which she is quite capable of doing rather well!

Kota was bred twice to Oki at 5 and 6 years of age and the spayed and now lives a cushy retirement live as a happy pet.  Her offspring can be seen on our Extended Furfamily page.
