Why that name? Shogun is a warrior that used Akitas for protection while protecting the imperial family in Japan
and fighting wars. Bushido is what would be known as the Shogun "code of ethics"
AKA: Cheeto. We started calling him Shido for short, which sounded like Cheeto and he is bright orange so it stuck!

Personality: Cheeto is a sweet boy but, like his sister, quite excitable. He is also my resident kitty. Cheeto like to sleep on something elevated. (It makes for some very funny pictures!) When he was a small pup he would somehow climb into my rocking chair and sleep and then cry because he was too little to jump down on his own. Now he prefers long, hard furniture that is about 2 or so feet off of the ground. I can't figure out if he doesn't want to get stepped on while he sleeps or if he actually enjoys being elevated... He plays well with all of the dogs and doesn't challenge authority at all. He does, however, like to pick on smaller pups. He doesn't hurt them but picks on them to remind them that they are little. He is quite possessive. He is not an all out hugger but he does like to bounce his front feet off of the ground before me to get my attention like Tigger on Winnie the Pooh! He also likes to nibble my fingers from behind me while I walk around the yard or house. He is not accepting of newcomers of visitors at all unless I ease him into it so that he knows that they are supposed to be there!
